We had done one previous trans-Atlantic crossing on Cunard and two other European cruises with Oceania. We had a great time using Celebrity. Our travel agent found us a fantastic deal, using software that tracks cruise sales which usually occur sometime between January and March. "I just saved you $1600," she emailed us. What a great start to a cruise!
there were so many things to do each day: lectures, movies, ping-pong, trivia, gym, spa, putting, chipping, live poker, MahJongg, shows, and of course eating and drinking. Sort of like Club Med without the hormones. My wife and I looked forward each night to plotting out our next days activities.
The specialty restaurants were fantastic And they go on sale about halfway through the trip. the buffet on deck 14 was very good though it got a little boring by about day eight. The only disappointment was the main dining room where the food at dinner was adequate at best. Breakfast and lunch there were fine, tho.
