We had been on a Costa cruise in January 2015 in the Far East and it was a disaster! It was our first cruise and put us off cruising again. We decided to have another go as we felt that things must get better. We chose P&O as it was a UK based company with a good reputation and we wanted to start and finish our cruise in the UK. We were a little concerned at the size of the ship, but we very quickly discovered that it never felt crowded with lots to do. The embarkation and disembarkation processes were very quick and professional. Being a newish ship we expected it to be spotless and we weren't disappointed. The décor in the cabin and public areas was superb, full marks to the designers. We couldn't fault any aspect of the cruise, except that the evening we dined in the Sindhu restaurant the staff could not understand my wife's "no carbs" request made earlier prior to dining. The staff were friendly and helpful, food was very good with plenty of choices, no matter where we ate. Our balcony cabin on deck F was very comfortable and close to most of the amenities. We opted to do two excursions, which were very good, then we just walked round the other two stops in Stavanger and Bergen. We were lucky with the weather which was dry and sunny in Norway. Overall an exceptionally great holiday and we are already organising our next one with P&O.

Port Reviews

Stavanger

Walked off the ship straight into the port and old town. Nice just to wander round at our own pace. Interesting city with lots of shops restaurants and sights.

Olden

Coach trip to a glacier. Coffee and cakes pit stop.
