My sisters and I along with our husbands planned this cruise for a year. It would be the first time my sisters and I vacationed together. Are respected ages are 75, 74, and 64. We were very disappointed in the cruise! We choose this cruise for it's port destinations and we were not able to visit three of the ports, missing ports/excursions in Portugal, England and Belgium due to a mechanical problem with the ships propulsion. We did dock in England 4 hours late and after standing in line for over 3 1/2 hours in the cold to get through customs we got to our tour bus at 4:00 to find there was not time for the excursion. It was a 45 min (in good traffic) drive to the castle and cathedral and they close at 5:00. Our tour was not the only one this happened to, some got out and found that the busses just left. They should have known that these excursions would not happen, and been honest with us! This isn't the first time they have taken a ship through customs. The ship gave us a $200.00 per cabin on board credit for missing the ports. As one of our free choices we had taken the $50.00 off shore excursions, which we did not receive since we missed ports (should have taken the drink package because we needed it by the end of the cruise!) On the positive the food was excellent as well as the entertainment, and the staff friendly. The problem is we didn't get the cruise we booked. If I just wanted good food and entertainment I could have went to the Caribbean, were I have been many times before and now take for relaxation and not sightseeing.
