We spent 4 weeks in the USA and choose the relaxing way to get back home. Upon arrival in Europe, we have done away with the time difference and are ready for the everyday life. This was already the 6th time we came home by cruise after our stay in the US and it was definately not the last time.

We like the Jade, came home on it last year also. The crew is great, the layout of the ship is very good. Enough space indoors and outside to walk around. Many different restaurants, bars, lounges and places to sit and rest. Nice library, game room casino and a conference center where we could come together as cruise critic group. The group coordinator spoilt us by bringing water, juice and cookies in every day.She even exchanged our hand written "CC" sign with a nice, big, laminated printed sign. We felt very welcome throughout the cruise.

Anytime dining suits us very well. We had 6 special dinners in our package and bought another 4 on top of it. Le Bistro, La Cucina and Cagneys were our choices and we had 10 really special, wonderful dinners. The other 4, we went to the Grand Pacific, were they held a CC table for us so that we sat with different people of the group which worked out very well. The food and service there was also really very good but the noise is extreme, That is the main reason why we prefer the specialty restaurants.

Cabin Review

Family Penthouse with Balcony

Cabin SC

This suite is very spacious and comfortable. The shower with floor to top window is the absolut hit. The extra suite service is wonderful, we were spoilt but not in a baby pampered way, just really nice. Omar was there whenever we only thought of something we might want. He was fantistic. Loy and Don kept the suite clean and in order. Most days, we did not eat lunch because we knew that Loy would come at 3p.m. to bring some treats. One drawback is the new couch in the little bedroom and in the livingroom. It is uncomfortable to sleep on. The big coffee machine was replaced by a Nespresso machine which is nice. The little bedroom has no (bedside) table. We could not find out wether it was just not delivered yet or if there will be none in the future.

Storage is massive throughout the suite. We would definately book it again.

Port Reviews

Tampa

We stayed outside of Tampa and drove to the rental car drop of on Kennedy blvd. From there, we got a shuttle to the ship

Key West

We had been to Key West before and just wandered around on our own. It is a small town and easily explored on foot.

Miami

We have been in Miami several times before so we just walked over the bridge to get some exercise.

Ponta Delgada

We did tours on previous cruises here, so this time, we just walked around and had a "Galao and a Nata" (milkcoffee and a pudding tarte).

Cobh (Cork)

We booked a tour with eCoach to Blarney Castle. Very recommendable, reasonably priced, friendly, perfectly on time, well organised. Will book it again if we come to Cobh on one of our next cruises.

Falmouth

We organised a tour with toursofcornwall. The driver was very friendly and on time, the bus brandnew. The tour was according to our wishes and went very well. We can definately recommend it.
