ABOUT US - We have been on a dozen or so cruises on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise lines. We live in FL and are now empty-nesters. We chose this cruise because we wanted to try out the largest mega-cruiser class of RCCL ships. The people that constantly complain about service overall have such high, unrealistic expectations of instantaneous service. If you want that then go on a Crystal or Cunard cruise. Of course you will pay double or triple what this cruise costs. RCCL does definitely try to give excellent service and they do make it happen most of the time.

EMBARKATION -Easy to get on ship at Port Canaveral. Went directly to the Park Cafe for lunch as Windjammer buffet restaurant was so crowded. Delicious roast beef sandwiches and salads.

But when we got to our cabin (7535 on deck 7 far forward) after 1:00 pm, we were alarmed by seeing the bathroom sink had not been cleaned, and neither had our refrigerator which still had half full drinks in it. Our cabin steward stopped by and we told him but we were dismayed when he asked us not to tell his supervisor. But we had already called housekeeping and a manager came down and apologized and had the room cleaned immediately. We requested and got a new cabin steward. Also the champagne and strawberries that my wife had pre-ordered for our anniversary were not in the cabin as she was told they would be when she ordered it well before we left on the cruise.

Cabin Q

VERY large cabin...very nice and roomy...plenty of storage. We really liked being forward on the ship.
