We chose this cruise because of our proximity to Galveston, and to do something different to celebrate our anniversary. I'd never cruise without a balcony. We spent lots of time on it, including coffee almost every morning before we went down to breakfast. Boarding was a bit chaotic, as were the first couple of days because we didn't know what to expect. I wish we'd been sent some orientation materials. We missed out on a number of events the first couple of days because we really weren't made aware. The Port Sales team did some very educational programs, as did the Art Team. It would have been helpful to have a schedule of all the shows and which days/evenings they'd be offered, so we didn't miss any. I wanted to see the aerial show, but it wasn't repeated later in the week One of our suitcases was pulled out for liquor inspection, and I had to travel the length of the ship to collect it before dinner and haul it back to our cabin after they apologized and said they'd made a mistake. So why didn't they deliver it then?? Also, be careful when you sign up for events you're planning for a certain day. They may change them. We booked the Chef's Table for the last night to celebrate our 40th anniversary, but mid-week they told us we had to come a different night. You have no control. The meal however was delicious, and well-worth the price. Always listen to your waiter, and you won't be disappointed. We didn't realize that at first, and got some less than enjoyable food. Also, they have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Indian meals and appetizers available that aren't on the menu. We just learned about those by happenstance late in the week.
Fine for the two of us. The TV screen had a large black mark obscuring part of it which we reported on departure., Our server got us ice every afternoon, but otherwise was scarce.
