Chose this cruise based on price and availability and most importantly ports to visit. We sailed from Miami, to Ponta Delgada, Azores, no stop at our first port due to the weather, captain could not dock the ship because of high winds, disappointing, but forgivable. Next stop Brest France, waited in line for our excursion for 1 and a half hours, we bailed because my wife fell ill in line waiting. Our travel companions waited an additional 30 minutes , a full 2 hours to get off the boat, then an additional 1 hour 45 minutes to get back on the boat in the rain. Unforgivable and inexcusable. Smooth shore excursion departures falls directly on the cruise directors shoulders. This is unacceptable, Silas should be FIRED! The captain had a Q&A with passengers, and bragged about how the ship could run without problem with only one engine, boastful, arrogant and a liar, one engine had trouble we were told we would be missing our stop in Bruges, Belgium because we were now behind schedule due to engine trouble.

Next stop, Southampton UK. Had a scheduled tour to see the Tower of London. Silas complete incompetence strikes again. We personally waited from12:00-3:00pm, 3 hours to get off the ship, all the while seeing passengers with no shore excursions getting off the ship before paid shore excursion passengers. By the time we got to the bus, it was 3:30, mind you the Tower is 2 hours away minimum, and closes at 5:30 Before getting on the bus we asked if we would get in and were told, can't promise that! We can drive around it BLAH BLAH BLAH. Not what I paid for, got a full refund. Walked around aimlessly in Southampton, thankfully found a pub had some fish and chips and a few pints. SILAS should be FIRED. We have had this planned for over a year, such a disappointment. NCL should stand for Never C Land. Room was average, storage was completely idiotic, no drawers, just shelves?

We ate in the Garden Cafe most days, decent selection. We enjoyed the Thermal Santuary, but that was completely oversold, and at times there was no place to sit except on the window ledges, no beds to lie down on. The Steam Room smelled absolutely awful. Dry sauna was nice. Had to ask for a robe several times in the mens locker room. The Vibe was our saving grace. We spent most nice sea days here away from the racket of the main pool deck, Private area, private bartenders. Deseril was a gem, makes the very best Moscow Mules, WITH MINT, as requested and not how the NCL imbiciles at corporate dictated they should be made, to save a few pennies. Howl at the moon was were we spent most nights, Ben, Jared and Devina had great chemistry, and are OUTSTANDING MUSICIAN. Loved them, when playing, spent between 3-4 hours singing along enjoying their show. Burn the floor, a disconnected monstrosity of music and dance. Who goes from cuban music, to Stairway to Heaven??? Napped frequently in this one. The Million dollar quartet performers were excellent singers, but the story was ill rehearsed and lost pace too frequently to stay with, napped in this one as well. This is not my first cruise, 14 before, first one on NCL, last one on NCL. ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT OVERALL.
