Embarkation was not too bad, other than being led into the wrong line at Check-In. Should've been in the priority embarkation line, but was told to go to a different line, which took about 70 minutes.

The ship itself is as beautiful as the day it was dedicated. Those who say otherwise are just too knit-picky. Of course there are areas with minor defects, such as rust showing through, but they aren't large or many in number, and it's a ship people! It spends its life at sea. Salt water takes a toll on paint and metal!

All in all, my wife and I and the couple we were traveling with LOVED the ship!

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

Cabin A1

Excellent quiet cabin near the front of the ship (not too much motion, though!)

Travelled with couple in 1521, and liked their configuration better, as the bed is by the balcony door in their stateroom. That's the only negative (if you would even call it that!!) to 1523.

Loved the cabin, loved the cruise. High-End traveler, NOT disappointed in Celebrity!!!

Port Reviews

Aruba

The "Natural Bridge" is broken, and is a waste of 30 minutes each way to get there. I feel tours should no longer be offered, but knowing now what I didn't know - I won't be going there again. Nothing really to see other than a gift shop that smells like cooking grease and charges $1 for the bathroom (albeit, very clean and AIR CONDITIONED!!). Stay around the High-Rise and Low-Rise hotel areas - they're the best. Everything else is just so-so.

Curacao

Not much to say, the fort area leaving the ship was nice, the floating bridge is slow, shopping was okay. Did get a taxi to a rather nice developed beach, and rented a day-bed. Bar service was slow, and I knew I might be in trouble when I asked the server if she had any Hefeweizen beer, and she said "what is that?"

Key West

Been to Key West two times before this, but hadn't been there in 17 years.

Loved it, though it is now pretty commercialized. Don't let that dissuade you from going, it's still a very lovely place, with lots to do and see!

And even though I'm a male, I found there to be some great shopping as well (just sayin')

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

What can you say about Stingray City? I Love it. Been there a few times now, and will go again if I'm in Grand Cayman.

Miami

Miami is a bustling metropolis - not much charm to it (don't hate me, this is just my perspective - I'm sure others find it charming and diverse and all that! - it's just not my speed...)
