Never tried a trans-Atlantic crossing before. If you don't want to be on the water for 8 straight days, this isn't the cruise for you! That said, it was relaxing and enjoyable. Entertainment and food were great. Diamond lounge was handled admirably, considering there were something like 1200 Diamond members on board this cruise! Ports of call were fun; I could have spent a lot more time in Lisbon and Seville if we had the time.

This was FOTS's first trans-Atlantic crossing, so there were some issues. Satellite was uneven, so internet and TV were erratic at best. Guest Services was overwhelmed and confused through most of the cruise. The embarkation experience was HORRIBLE. They used a temporary terminal in Fort Lauderdale (90 minute wait), plus our luggage was left outside for hours and was soaked with 3+ inches of rain. This affected hundreds of cruisers, and everyone was scrambling to dry their clothes so they could use them. Shame on Royal for such a lousy experience.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin was good. Cabin steward was very attentive and provided great service - he really helped us with our wet luggage. Rooms were a bit dirty because Royal really rushes these people to keep the rooms cleaned.
