After going transatlantic on Celebrity, we decided to take RC to the Mediterranean rather than going to Norway with Celebrity. There are some positives with this ship. The ice shows and the production of Grease were very good, and the diamond Club happy hour was very generous. On the down side, the food was poor both in the restaurant and the buffet. Service in the dining room was good, although it seemed rushed, with dinner lasting less than an hour. Cabin and cabin service were fine. The major negative to this ship is that there are simply too many passengers for the amount of public space. If you did not arrive at least 30 minutes before any show or event, you would not get a seat. This was true even for going to a lounge to listen to music. The buffet is very overcrowded for breakfast and lunch and difficult to find a place to eat. Elevators also require significant waiting time. We will be going back to Celebrity, which is owned by RC, but well above in quality.
