Embarking in Long Beach went extremely smooth. We were told to arrive no earlier than 2 pm, we arrived at 1 pm and were on board in our cabins with luggage delivered already by 2:30 pm. Stateroom was clean and our request for ice upon arrival to our stateroom was fulfilled right away. We had a 9A cabin with great wrap around balcony. Room was spacious and had large picture windows throughout cabin for beautiful view of ocean and ports. We previously cruised in a cat 11 suite and this room was just as nice and alot cheaper. Would definitely book this category again. The elevators were a pain on this ship. Every bank of elevators had at least one elevator out of service constantly which meant prolonged waiting whenever we needed to use the elevators. Service staff were all great and on top of anything we requested throughout the ship. Also the layout of the ship took some getting used to. There is a restaurant in the middle of the ship on 3rd and 4th decks that made navigating from front of ship to the back difficult at times. But we finally got it figured out on about the 5th day. We have cruised carnival two times in the past and remembered the food choices being much better than this cruise. What we ordered was good but the selections did not seem to be as good as previous cruises. Lines in buffet area were not bad and service in the dining room was excellent. Port days went very smooth disembarking and embarking went quick and smooth. Even on Cabo San Lucas day with tenders wait was mininmal and very organized. Excursions we went on were great in Puerto Vallarta, the jeep excursion was alot of fun and informative. Mazatlan we did Tequila, Saddles and sandals. This excursion was nice also, guide was knowledgable and entertaining. Cabo San Lucas we did the Beach Resort Getaway. The food on this excursion was not good at all, but the resort itself was very nice. Staff was available to assist us throughout our stay at the resort. Overall I would recommend this cruise to families, we had a great cruise!

Cabin Review

Cabin 9A

Cabin 7447 Category 9A.

Cabin was great value for the money. It was listed as same square footage as standard balcony room but seemed much larger. Balcony was an aft wrap and it was huge. Great views especially at sunset. Plenty of closet space and bathroom was standard in size and features. No noise because room was at very back of ship and away from elevators.
