We just returned from our western Mediterranean cruise on Norwegian Epic. This cruise was fantastic. The staff were superb. We had a balcony room which was always clean. Eduardo our steward was great. He was friendly and always had a hello or smile for us when we saw him. The food was very good. We had the specialty dining package and ate at Cagneys twice and once at Moderno. We also ate at the Manhattan dining room. It was good too but portion size was very small for what we ordered. Also ate at Shaghais and O'sheans which were both very good. The entertainment was TOP NOTCH! We saw the Beatles Mania, Burn the Floor, Men of Motown and Priscilla Queen of the Desert (watched this one twice!). Best entertainment ever on any of our cruises.

We did not use the ships shore excursions. They were so expensive and found much better options with smaller groups that we liked better and much cheaper! The embarkation and disembarkation were no problem. We were able to get on the ship about noon on the day of embarking and had a nice lunch and sat by the pool side before sailing. Would definitely sail on the Epic again.

The 2 things I would do different would be to take a taxi to the pier rather than use the NCL transfer. A taxi would have been cheaper and quicker. The staff that was at the airport were not very squared away and we had to stand around for about an hour before we were able to get on the bus. We were luckier than some though as some waited there from about 7:30 am to 11:00. I would also not use the post cruise hotel at Barcelona - The Mont Blanc. Noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Overall, it was a great cruise and I would recommend to anyone. Also, it was just my husband and I traveling. Even though there were kids on this cruise, it was not a "kid" cruise which was better for our needs. Have fun!
