We choose this cruise because other family members choose it and we decided to come along. The ship is beautiful with many activities. We were definitely busy and never bored. Our daughter traveled with us who is 8 yrs old and she had plenty to do as well. She only went to the kids activity club a couple times because we were so busy doing other things. When she did go to the kids club she had a great time. The food in the main dinning room for dinner was excellent and the staff we had was wonderful. Mixed drinks were hit or miss. Depending on which bar you ordered from would determine whether you received a good drink or not. Personally I prefer a good tasting drink then an overpoured drink that tastes like all liquor.

Most ports were nice. I would avoid the excursion to Red Stripe Beach in Jamaica. We paid $29 a person to be bused to a "private" beach. The location of this beach was behind a construction zone that we had to drive through in our bus which almost tipped over because there is no real road to the beach. It sits in front of a swamp, the bar is a shack with beer that tasted skunked. The beach was tiny and you had to pay $5 for chairs and the swimming area was filled with seaweed and minimal space to swim. This particular day it was super windy so we got whipped by sand with no place to lay to get away from it. I was surprised this Shore Excursion was acceptable by Royal Caribbean. Haiti was nice but caution going into the back of the island where the local vendors are. Some were extremely aggressive with selling their items. So much so that they were placing bracelets on our wrists, including my 8 yr old daughter and then expecting you to purchase them. Definitely pack water shoes for all the Ports because the beaches were rocky and all had sea urchins in the swim area (my husband stepped on one). We saw many of the shows and they were all wonderful especially the water shows and the ice skating shows.

Cabin Review

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin B2

Cabin was good for us. We had 2 adults and 1 child in the room. The "king" bed was nice but a bit firm for us. My daughter had no complaints about the single bed/couch. Our balcony over looked the carousel which closed at 10pm. Most of the noise came from the music from the Aquatic theater on the evenings of that show but usually finished by 11:30pm. Other then that the area was quite and family oriented. We did have family that stayed in rooms with balconys over Ceneral Park and they had more late night noise from some of the bars in that area and they also had some loud partying couples that kept them up until 4-5am. Something to consider if you are not a night owl.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Nice beach/resort. Simple with good food. Location was off the beaten path but nice. Beach was a little rocky with rougher water. Not ideal for young kids.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

No excursion. Went out on the Jungle Queen boat ride and BBQ. Was a nice ride on the boat (besides the really drunk patrons), BBQ was not worth the $50 per person. The 4 hr excursion was a bit to long for me.

Labadee

Island/beach was beautiful. Swimming was a bit rocky. Vendors were very aggressive. I didn't like that but then I just left the vendor area. Would have prefered to stay at this Port another day then going Jamaica.
