I have traveled on many different cruise lines and only picked this cruise because of the ports of call and it fitting in with our schedule. I knew when I booked it not to expect very much. I only saw this as a means of transportation between the islands, not a relaxing cruise ship itself. The food was horrible. I am not expecting gourmet at the buffet line but it was boring and routine. I mainly ate salads. The best was the sushi bar which you have to pay extra for but the portions were generous. The stage shows were so so. We went every night because we are not gamblers and there was very much else to do. Comedy shows were good but packed with no where to sit most nights. The cruise director did a good job keeping everybody entertained. The man has more energy than I have ever seen. My major complaint was with the final morning. It has been a few years since we have cruised last and now they allow you to leave the ship with your luggage in tow. What a fiasco! The process would go so much smoother if they made everyone use their service the night before for bags so that when people leave they only have carry on size luggage. You possibly expect that many people to come down 1 bank of elevators with large luggage and no place to go without tempers flaring between customers. Some people literally couldn't even get off the elevators because there was no room to stand. This jammed up all the elevators. They need to rethink this plan of disembarking. Overall it was what I was expecting which was very little considering it was a Carnival ship. Going back to Celebrity or NCL next time.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin was standard. We had plenty and room and storage and the aft balcony was nice as it provided more room for us to relax. On the first morning we had to ask our steward to clean soot or ash that had fallen and covered the deck and chairs. Didn't see it again after the first morning. We were curious about the papers we found tucked into the ceiling and after the first night we understood why. The trim work around the ceiling rattled all night long. We tried to add more paper to buffer the vibration but it didn't work. My husband slept through it fine but I never got a full night of rest so I was exhausted for the entire trip. Also, the walls are very thin. On the last day of our cruise which was an at sea day, our neighbors decided to try a little blue pill. It worked because we heard their screaming for over an hour.
