We chose this cruise for the itinery with a 3 night stop in New Orleans, somewhere we hasn't visited before. The ship was chosen because being from Skandinavia we love eating breakfast and lunch outside and we also know that we can enjoy the sun at the front of the ship without music.
Equinox was being moved from Fort Lauderdale to Miami so passengers were asked not to arrive at the dock before 14.30. We had expected the worst but things were well organised but check -in took longer than necessary as not all the check-in desks were manned!!
Our cabin on deck 8 was ready and this and the balcony were kept very clean throughout the trip.
Here we had booked the food walking tour and the free garden district tour ourselves. Both were enjoyable and well worth taking for first time visitors toNew Orleans.
We also took the plantation tour through Celebrity. It poured all day but intersting to see the countryside along the river and visit the plantation home but we were unable to enjoy the gardens. It was a long drive.
