We choose the Regal Princess because of its destinations. We had only cruised with Celebrity to this point but always wanted to try Princess. Overall, we were happy with most things on Princess. The excursions, all booked through the ship, were great. The stateroom, balcony and bathroom were smaller than what we experienced on Celebrity. The embarkment, disembarkment and service were superior to Celebrity. Entertainment was mediocre and the food was a major disappointment. We have previously dined in Blu Dining on Celebrity. The food was superb. The dining room was small and not noisy like the main dining. We inquired at Customer Services to see if Princess offered anything similar to learn they do not. My spouse is hard of hearing so the noise level in the main dining room makes it difficult for him to understand basic communication. That alone might be a deciding factor in us rebooking with Princess.
The ship is beautiful, far superior to the Celebrity ships we have cruised with. There were so many "wows" for us. Didn't feel that way about the Celebrity ships.
Cabin was small but clean and comfortable. The bed was awesome. Nice linens.
The bathroom was so tiny. We were used to bigger bathroom with 5 shower heads.
The towels were small. We prefer thick bath sheets!
Loved the outdoor walking. Wonderful guide. Thoroughly enjoyed!
The tour guide was a disappointment. I expected more history and explanation. If I didn't have prior knowledge of the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate, etc, I would have been at a loss. We didn't see the Holocost Memorial or the concentration camp.
The rain ride was enjoyable except for the loud American who did not cease loud communication the entire trip. But, the ship has no control over this so I really shouldn't have mentioned it.
Enjoyed the tour especially the water tour. We had a great guide. Although it was chilly, with a little snow, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
