This was a WONDERFUL trip!!
Chose this 8 day trip as a way to enjoy our first river cruise experience within the limitations of working people who don't have unlimited time. Viking and Uniworld were the two lines we were considering; Viking's price and it's support of PBS made us choose this cruise. Totally ecstatic with the experience!
Every detail was seamlessly planned for ease, convenience and enjoyment. Every stop provided sights I couldn't have imagined (I had total ignorance of the wonders of the Rhine), The included tours were not 'cut rate' in any way, no sense that we would need to spend extra for additional tours -- although we did ultimately choose additional tours, because the 'basic tours' were so great! Wonderful Guides with each tour, which always helps; humorous, knowledgeable, friendly people. And wonderful locations! Beautiful, educational, historical, interesting!
Cabin Review
Having been on several Princess and Royal Carribean ship cruises before this trip, these cabins compare quite favorably. No smaller, despite the smaller river ships.
Linens, mattress, lighting, temp. controls, ... every element ran smoothly and comfortably.
The wall of glass and veranda VERY nice amenities!
