Overall, a pleasant cruise, the highlights of which were the sail-bys of the Kilauea Volcano lava entering the sea on the Big Island, and the slow sail-by of the magnificent Na Pali coast on Kuaui; these have never been done on my previous 5 Hawaiian cruises!

My small Studio Stateroom on Deck 13 was quite adequate although the tiny toilet presented a challenge and the sea motion was magnified by the rooms location - high up and all the way forward: the very worst location on the ship for sea motion.

Of course, the size of the ship with its almost 3,000 passengers is NOT my cup of tea! I much prefer smaller or medium size cruise ships, but I guess I am a dying breed. Read more
