This was a cruise that I planned to do something different. I wanted to try another port and New Orleans was recommended by a friend. This cruise went to some of the ports I wanted us to go to that we had not done before. Jamaica and Grand Cayman were two places that we wanted to see.

We had not been on a ship the size of the Dream. The majority of our cruises had been on Conquest and Valor. This was also the first time we got a balcony. The Cove Balcony was an option that we could get with our budget and it was amazing. We loved being so close to the water.

We always have faster to the fun. I will say that I did not think that the port was very well marked for someone who had not been here before and we did not find out we could board until we asked a few people. However that being said, it was very fast once we found out where to go. We were on the ship by noon, in our room and ready to go find lunch. The weather was awful but we managed to get on the ship before the rain started and we were glad we did. This is where our cove balcony came in handy to sit and watch the rain.

Cove Balcony

Cabin 7C

Our cabin was great, very quiet, always comfortable. Loved the balcony. With the TV mounted on the wall there was more counterspace than we have had in the past.
