Great time, however some improvements/upgrades are needed.

We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the Panama Canal and this particular cruise line on the recommendation of friends.

Embarkation was easy and quick and the staff was pleasant.

Anytime dining was the only option available when we booked in February. We were put on a waiting list, but our number never came up. The first three nights were a debacle. Lines of people waiting to be seated stretched past the Patisserie. Fellow passengers told us that they simply gave up and went to the Horizon. That is unfortunate because we found that the food in the dining room to be very good. There was a good variety and the wait staff was very attentive.

Cabin BD

Our cabin was ready when we arrived. It was dated and smaller than what we are accustomed to. The bathroom was cramped and the linens were well worn. It may seem like a small thing, but we were concerned about the cleanliness of the metal cover on the toilet roll dispenser. There was no top sheet on the bed. Having only the duvet made us too hot while sleeping. We had an aft balcony which we liked.

Port Reviews

Aruba

We walked around the surrounding area. Most of the shops were closed due to time we arrived.

Fuerte Amador (Balboa)

We booked a private tour through Panama Your Way. For eight hours we toured all over Panama City. Enrique is an excellant guide. We highly recomend this company.
