After cruising on the Crown during the month of July, we couldn't wait to take our Granddaughter on the Caribbean Princess. The first cruise was excellent, this one was a disappointment. It was as if there were too many people and too few staff.
FOOD SERVICE
Service in the dining room for breakfast and lunch was very slow and the waiters bordered on being rude. It was almost impossible to get a second cup of coffee or even a first danish. Diner was fine after we were given a table and saw the same waiter each night. We originally were waitlisted for traditional dining (reservations made 9 months in advance, I can't understand this). First night delay is forgivable but when I called for reservations the next morning and was told there are no reservations I was annoyed. "Anytime" dining is equivalent to going to the "Olive Garden" and picking up a pager average wait 45 minutes. It took a firm, disagreeable discussion to get a table assigned to us but in the end it was done in the Coral Dinning Room.
A419 Little storage space, small room for three people. Location is good.
