This is the last Celebrity ship we hadn't cruised on. "Equinox" did not disappoint. The service is excellent, the ship is clean, the staff cheerful and attentive. The food was very good, though not superior as has been the case in years gone by. It also would be nice if Celebrity varied the menus every few months. The menu is the same on every cruise and almost on every ship. For frequent and back to back cruisers this is a let-down. The bars and Casino are enjoyable, well-stocked, with variety and good entertainment. Shore excursions are mediocre and the staff need to be available at the desk more. Overall entertainment was slightly above average in the main theatre, with most of the bands and solo musicians being very good. The smaller theatres need to be used more with comedians, magic acts, singers, etc. The cabins are good (ours was mid-ship, deck 9 verandah), and the steward (Savio) was excellent. He went out of his way to accommodate us. I had an injury that required an ice bag and without asking, he made sure it was full twice a day! This man belongs in the butler/suite program without a doubt. Our captain is headed for a new ship in the Edge series, alas, a well-deserved promotion as he has done such a fine job with the lovely "Equinox". You've done it again, thank you Celebrity!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 1A

Cabin 1A

Good cabin, well-kept by excellent cabin attendant, "Savio". This man went over and above what was needed to meet our needs. (See review above).

Port Reviews

Key West

Lovely, fun port have been many times, did a quick shopping trip for custom-made sandals

Miami

Miserable airport with long walks for older people (1.8 miles from entrance to end gates at terminal "D" with 1 short moving sidewalk). "D" terminal does have a train they fail to mention on the 4th floor to some gates. Use any other airport in Florida if you can until they install moving sidewalks like every other civilized airport has.
