We chose this cruise for its itinerary and were not disappointed! Embarkation and disembarkation were very smoothly run. We had read a lot about the bathrooms on the Epic and were expecting the worse, but actually, they were no problem at all. Sure, they are a bit tiny, but we had no issues with privacy and there were 3 of us sharing the room. The room itself was small, better suited to two people than three, but we survived and would go again happily. The beds are short. If you are over 6 feet, prepare for your feet to hang over the edge. Not a big issue, but worth mentioning. We loved having the balcony! I don't think I would book a cruise without one after having it. The food was fantastic as were the restaurants. We loved the shows on board and took advantage of several. Never had any problem with service, in fact, the young lady taking care of our room bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. Our only complaint would be the one shore excursion we booked through the ship. It was a huge disappointment. we all felt it was a total waste of time. All our other excursions were booked independently and were excellent. Overall, we were very pleased with our time on the Epic and would definitely cruise with Norwegian again. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone who is looking at this itinerary.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BB

Overall, the cabin was a bit small for three people, better suited to a couple. The bathroom situation was no problem whatsoever. Only complaint is perhaps that the bed is rather short, leaving my husbands feet hanging over the edge.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We spent the morning in the Vatican and the afternoon touring the main sites of Rome. Simply not enough time to do it all, but we did see the highlights.

Florence (Livorno)

We went first to Pisa and then to Florence. We had an excellent guide and we absolutely loved Florence.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

This port was a disappointment to us. We did the hop on hop off bus tour, but found there was little of interest to see and do. Next time, I would probably stay on board the ship or look for a tour of somewhere else.
