I chose this cruise purely because it was good value for money. Never been with Celebrity cruises before and was shocked. The ship was tired and needs an upgrade it was evident but it had all the facilities required so the ship was average. The cabin was well apointed and the cabin boy was simply brilliant. Dining was terrible we opted for sharing and the first night ended up on a table for two and that was when they could find the table they all used maps and no one was familiar with the dining room layout it was very amateurish. The breakfast was very prejudiced towards the Americans English breakfast was cordoned off after 9.a.m and only American food available after that so I hated breakfast every day and it had all the markings of pure cost cutting keeping only a quarter of the breakfast counter open needing few staff to operate the meals, and often run out of food.

The entertainment was poor quite often the theater started to empty early.The service was just about OK but again the staff on the coffee station and bars quite often let the Que become disorderly so people got served before others who were there first again I put this down to a lack of the proper training. I did tell the main that the friendliness of the staff had been indoctrinated into them so all the staff were unbelievably friendly but poorly trained, it felt like this ship was still finding its feet and not one that was run poorly and professionally. I may consider travelling with Celebrity cruise but it would not be my first choice.
