I was pleasantly surprised at the good value we got when we booked this family cruise on the Carnival Miracle. We traveled the week of April 29-May 6 and I knew ahead of time that this cruise would not compare to my first choice, Royal Caribbean. But really, their business model works. We had the sweetest wait staff at dinner, I loved them all- Arturo, Alemar and Shee. The dining staff seemed to have fun dancing during "Show Times" during dinner. They sang happy birthday every night to guests in a rousing off key way that was funny. I don't know how they can maintain such a sincerely happy attitude week after week. Carnival had the hottest band in the Red Frog Pub most nights with music you couldn't help but jump up and dance too. This band of 4 young guys could play ANYTHING! They have memorized at least 5 decades of music and we were always amazed after each set at their musical skill and talent since they look so young. I usually avoid the photographers on my cruises but because this was a family cruise, we had to take pictures. I am so happy that I did. The photographers shot some of the best family photos we have ever taken, everyone looked 5-10 years younger with those camera lens. I got some beautiful photos of me and my mom together that just would not happen at home. Finally, hats off to Adam and his cruise staff. They kept the action going and formed congo lines and line dances so every one, young and old could participate in. I never thought I would say this but I would not hesitate to book another Carnival Cruise for a family vacation and next time I'm bringing my grandkids, they would love it!

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8C

Queen bed was nice and firm, the comforter and linens were super soft and comfy. Bathroom shower was roomier that most. I loved that there was plenty of hot water, it never wavered in temperature. Our balcony was a bit tight but had 2 chairs and a small side table. The room had good lighting in the room with switches above the bed so you could turn off all the lights without getting out of bed.

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

Lots of bars and restaurants and shopping right off the ship's tender. Everything is close and within walking distance.

Puerto Vallarta

Loved this city, great beaches, shopping bars and restaurants, everyone speaks English so it makes it a lot easier to get around. Took the city bus into town for only 50 cents!
