We were looking to get out of town on a limited budget, without giving up the thrill of great past experiences. We sailed this ship in 1993 and again 24 years later. My wife has also sailed this ship with her Father, her third voyage on Majesty of the Seas, a total of four RCL cruises. Port Canaveral is the easiest of all the terminals, we have used.
Food and food service exceptional throughout the ship.
There were some downsides, however. Dinning room dress codes were not enforced. Short pants, even old jeans were allowed in the main dining rooms. Some bare feet were seen in the buffet area.
We paid a little extra for a Superior Ocean View cabin and the size of the cabin was definitely worth it since we knew we would be spending time there for R&R after being caregivers for her 95yrold father for 4 yrs. There was plenty of storage, plenty of room, and since our cabin was at back end of the ship (near the spa and fitness center), our elevator wait time was minimal. The elevators in mid-ship always seemed crowded.
