We just got off the Majesty after going to Nassau and Coco Cay. This was our 3rd cruise so our only comparisons are to a Carnival cruise 6yrs ago and a week on the Oasis last year. We took our 7yr old son this time so wanted something short to see if he liked it (and so we did not lose our sanity!). Overall, I would say we had a good time and would recommend this itinerary and ship for people looking to go on a quick trip and not looking for many bells and whistles. The boat itself is older, some parts were recently updated, though I am not sure which. I know the kids splash area is new, though small. The pools are salt water which my son did not like and only went in for about an hour the whole trip. Also, in May the pool water was still cold.

As far as amenities, this boat does not have too many. We spent a lot of time on the sports deck which consists of half a basketball court, 2 small soccer goals that could be moved around, 2 ping pong tables, a corn hole game and shuffleboard. Looking at the daily planner, there seemed to be a lot of activities for teens. My son was not into the Adventure Ocean group as he is shy and would rather stay with us. We did walk in there once, it was hard to see what the place had to offer due to how they had the walls built up. I did notice it is directly under the basketball court making it very loud in there. But kids probably don’t care. The “jogging track” is non-existent so if you want to run, use the treadmills. The cruise planner said it didn’t even open until 9am which doesn’t make sense to me. If I wanted to run (I have a broken foot and couldn’t), I want to do it before 9am!! We never looked at the fitness center or the spa so I can’t comment on those areas.

Having the broken foot, I was on a knee scooter the entire time. Access for handicap people was lacking. The only automatic doors were those that led out to the pool. None of the side doors and bathrooms doors were automatic. This was fine for me as I could maneuver my scooter well. Also, the elevators were a pain to figure out which ones on which end went where. For example, our stateroom was on Deck 6 and only one set of elevators went there. The other set only went to 5 or 7.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin G

Cabin was an ocean view on Deck 6, non-obstructed view. On the small side but was fine for the 3 days. We had a pullman bed for my son. My husband slept there and said it was not comfortable. I thought the regular bed was very comfortable. Temperature was easily adjusted, not stuffy at all. I actually brought along a fan thinking it would be, but the air was always circulating, even in the bathroom. It could have been updated, decor was older. Enough storage for 2 adults and a small child.
