I booked a 2 day Bahamas Cruise off of Groupon to start my Pre-Birthday. On the passenger confirmation sheet it has Cabin/Configuration (2 lower beds). As we were walking down the hallway to our cabin, we notice all the keys stuck in each door. The keys are so out dated and you have to keep inserting the key and pushing the door to open it. When we open our cabin door, it was a king size bed (its two twin beds pushed together). I called housekeeping and informed them. He told me that they couldn’t separate the beds until 6:00pm. I told him that was unacceptable. I’m tired and we paid for this cruise. I asked to speak to a manager. Someone was knocking on the door less than 3 minutes to separate the beds. The cabin room was very cold. We were looking for the thermometer on the wall. I had to call housekeeping because we couldn’t find it. It is literally in the ceiling. The buffet and the hamburger and hot dogs grill area were good. The waiters were walking around advertising there drinks in tumblers and etc. The tumbler we got was $14.75. They give you a hand written receipt for $14.75. What they don’t tell you is that there is an 18% tax added on the drinks you purchase.

We made our reservation for dining at the Stellar Prime restaurant. The waiter had a terrible attitude off the top. The food was not good. I asked for a glass of tea. I had to ask the waiter 4 times where is my tea. The couple that was sitting with us ordered a steak salad (it was on the menu). When the waiter brought her salad there was no steak on the salad, only 2 slices of tomatoes, a big slice of lettuce and 3 olives. She asked the waiter where is the steak. Of course the waiter got an attitude and went and got her the steak salad.

A lot of the people were complaining about the charges that were on their bill for housekeeping and gratuity. They didn’t read the fine print. I went to customer service because I notice that they charged me a $10.00 fee when I checked in on the cruise (again they don’t tell you) they told me that it would be credit back to my credit card when I left the cruise ship. While I’m waiting in line, there is a couple upset. They won tickets for the comedy show. When they looked at their bill they charged them for the comedy show. He wanted to know how was he been charged for free tickets that they won. The customer service guy had no answer for him and told him that he would call someone. The guy told the customer service guy that’s false advertisement and they could have those tickets back. The customer service representative asked the gentleman if he had the receipt were they charged him. The gentleman told him that he could pull up the invoice to his room and see the charges. If you want to go to the Comedy Show you have to pay (not on Carnival Cruise ship it’s FREE). Another gentlemen and his wife had a complaint. They called housekeeping to come back and clean there room because it was not clean. The gentlemen took off his shirt showing it to the customer service representative were he had been bitten by bugs from sleeping/laying on the bed in the cabin. They charged him again for housekeeping coming back to clean there room. The guy went from 0 to 100 because the customer service representative acted like he didn’t care. There is a lot of empty space in the corridors and the carpet in some areas looked wet and smelled mildew. The elevators are so small. You can stretch your arm across the elevator and touch the wall. Overall I was very disappointed in the Grand Celebration Cruise ship. I will stick with the Carnival Cruise Line you definitely get your money for their Cruise line and no hidden fees.
