We are a fun loving couple, early 60's and this was our first cruise with Celebrity, having taken 2 other cruises with their sister company, Royal Caribbean.
Like some of your other reviewers, we were rather concerned with the negative comments about 'Connie' but delighted to find that most of the criticism was unfounded, in our opinion. Although not the most attractive looking cruise liner on the exterior, the interior is classy and understated with contemporary works of art, beautiful wood everywhere and the most wonderful orchids in all the public washrooms.
Our Concierge Cabin was small but well laid out with a balcony - but beware if you like to see the sky & sunshine from your balcony, which we do, - there is a very wide canopy above Deck 9 which obliterates any sunshine and makes the balcony rather claustrophobic. Our cabin attendant Thomas & his assistant Mauricio were very efficient and friendly and did everything in their power to spoil us.
Cabin 9065 - Concierge Cabin on starboard side - small but sufficient with a comfortable bed and reasonable bed linen. Bathroom, although not spacious was well equipped, however, towels were not of great quality. Balcony, which we love to sit out on as we depart each port, was very disappointing and rather claustrophobic as it had a very wide overhanging canopy which blocked out both the sky and the sun. On the whole, we did not feel that upgrading to Concierge Class was worth the extra money spent.9065 is midway between midship and front of ship elevators so convenient for both the theatre and dining room.
