We went on this cruise because of the itinerary. The ABC islands are the best of the southern islands. Nice beaches, many dive and snorkeling sites, wind surfing and clean. San Juan unfortunately is having some turmoil with their debt problems, high cost of living etc. Arrived the day before the cruise and there were demonstrations going on in Old San Juan. Decided not to go to old San juan like we did on previous visits.

The cruise ship is old but well maintained. The entertainment is typical cruise line style of shows. NCL has lot better entertainment. The comedians they brought on were good except for the last one who was pushing an agenda. The adults only comedy show which i attended was nice because the comedian did not go into the sewer to try to be funny. He was a talented guy and did not have to drop F-bombs and get into body parts to try to get laughs. Make sure to go to the 70's party on the promenade deck. A lot of fun. Also do not miss the Quest if you want to have a lot of laughs. Sit close to the front if you want to participate. If you just want to sit and do nothing do not bother going. Food was great (last night was lobster and prime rib) and if you do not like something just ask for something else. . If you really like something ask for another plate of it. They want to make sure you are completely happy. Windjammer buffet had the usual stuff plus new selections of items every day so there was always something new to try. The only issue is that the beverage selection is now only water and lemonade that needs to be diluted at least 3 to 1. You can not serve yourself on the drinks they have attendants pre-filling the glasses. I would guess in a couple more years they will only give you water as they keep pushing for ways to charge you more for everything.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

The room is exactly what you expect for an inside room. A lot of storage for an inside room. The only issue was a slight odor but it is an old ship. We brought some air freshers and stuck them up by the air vent and left them so the next couple would have a better experience when walking into the room.
