Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We chose this cruise based on the itinerary. We were disappointed to be diverted from France secondary to a port strike. The planned D-Day excursion was to be the highlight for my husband. The ship staff did a great job in setting up alternative excursions in Dover, England and we did enjoy our visit there.

We had MyTime dining and had great service. We chose to always sit at the same table with great servers! The food selections seemed more budget conscious than in the past with surcharges for certain menu items that would have been included on previous cruises.

Many high level Crown and Anchor guests were on this ship and the perks offered to them made many of the lower ranking guests feel excluded. The sense of entitlement by these "higher" classed guests offended some lower ranked guests. I am referring to people who thought they did not have to wait in lines like others, they would just walk to the front in front of those who had been waiting and the ship staff allowed it.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Our cabin was on Deck 10 right next to the bridge. The balcony has a slightly obstructed view as the roof is curved on the left side. Besides the vanity chair, there was a comfy "chair and a half" that was comfortable although the upholstery was warn. We had enough storage to fully unpack for 16 nights and our suitcases fit under the bed.

The cabin was at the very front of the ship and we had plenty of walking to do to get to other areas of the ship.
