The cabins and the ship are quite nice. The problem is that the focus has become more and more on the 'extras' provided by the ship. Thus, at every turn, you are being badgered in to spending more money. Even in the 'complimentary'* dinning areas you are constantly being asked if you want to purchase some of the dishes. For instance, the only way to consistently get a grilled steak is to pay for it. Otherwise, you are left with a roasted bit of beef.
Not only are you asked to buy something at every meal, they even started running 'specials.' We were told if everyone at the table bought the 'surf and turf' then we would through in a free bottle of wine. What a joke. I was there to eat a meal with my friends and family, not have some pitch thrown at me like I am at a used car lot.
But it isn't enough to be asked to pay in the complimentary dinning areas, if you ever try to book a reservation for them, you will be asked if you would rather go to one of the specialty restaurants instead.
Cabin was spacious and clean. The balcony was nice. It was a great place to sit and read a book, away from the staff trying to sell more things to me.
