Highly recommend Viking Ocean. Excellent cruise, service, deluxe cabin is set up very nicely - plenty of storage. Bathroom is very nice- heated floors, plenty of storage space. Our cabin was kept very cleaned - serviced twice a day. Always had plenty of ice. The main dinning room and World Café are very good. Our favorite is Manfredi's. Excellent. Least favorite and should replace is the Chef Table.
Shore Excursions were very good. The included are nice, we did the optional tour to Windsor Castle and Monet Gardens -- the guides were excellent. Did our own private tour in Cherbourg to the American Sector. We suggested on the review that they give us more time in Portugal and skip the A Coruna port as well as they could skip Haugesund, Norway - not much to see and the shops all closed on Saturday at 4:00 pm and we did not dock until 1:45 pm and with tour no time to shop.
What is great about Viking Ocean is it is geared for adults - not children. Very relaxing - pool area is great, options for entertainment. If you go don't miss the Rat Pack and Cabaret in the Torshavn lounge.
Cabin Review
Cabin is set up well -- good storage space, deck is spacious. Bathroom is set up well - plenty of storage space in bathroom - drawer on both side as well as plenty of counter space. Heated floors.
Cabins are serviced twice daily -- very clean.
Port Reviews
Porto (Leixoes)
Enjoyed the tour -- tour was to short -- did not allow enough time for shopping and walking around. Not enough time in Port -- need to allow more time in Port so you can enjoy Porto.
Le Havre
Excellent tour to Monet Gardens and Rouen. Had an excellent tour guide - very knowledgable.
