My husband chose this cruise though we had never cruised with Princess before, due to the itinerary. We had lived in Florida until two years ago so we had no need to explore Fort Lauderdale. Getting onboard was long and tiring even though we supposedly had priority embark and debark. Getting off in Hamburg was the same with a 90 minute wait for a taxi - horrible standing out in the cold. I don't know how the elderly, handicap people survived this.

We had a Club Class Mini-Suite and I would highly recommend it. There is much more room in these cabins than a regular mini-suite cabin. Plus you get a half bottle of red and a half bottle of white wine at embarkation. The Club Class dining is the best. You can walk right in and never have to wait a minute. You get a table for two if that is what you want. It was never crowded. Also you get the upgraded bed which I found very comfortable (I have a Tempur-Pedic at home and have never found a bed on a ship that suited me before.) Supposedly, you get evening canapés if you ask for them but on other ships I have had this automatically and never though to ask for them on Princess. We had a balcony dinner one evening and we both absolutely loved it. The wait staff was with us for 2.5 hours and it was truly luxurious - well, worth the $100 charge.

We are not shoppers so having only a few shops was not a problem for us. The entertainment did not interest us so we did not go to any. We did enjoy the movie under the stars twice though it was very, very cold out there at night.

Cabin M1

Great cabin in middle of ship which is good if one is prone to motion sickness.
