We chose this Cruise because New Orleans was less than a 6 hour drive from home, the Dawn was refurbished in 2016 and the itinerary went to 4 ports during a 7 day cruise rather than just 3. We had an overall great experience! Definitely have patience during the embarkation process. Once on board, we noticed that the ship was clean and the decor was stylish. Eventhough the pool deck was crowded we were able to locate loungers. We did not have any problems with the elevators. The ship's layout was maze-like, however after a day or so we became familiar with it. We had a balcony stateroom with beautiful views , adequate space and plenty of storage area under the bed, in the closet and drawers. The bed was very firm though. Our Steward was personable, friendly and cleaned our room thoroughly. The towel animals were adorable. The Ship's Crewmembers were positive, energectic and helpful. We only dined in the Complimentary restaurants which offered a variety of choices. The food was tasty. The tables were cleaned quickly in the Garden Buffet during breakfast and lunch. The decor, service and food at the Aqua, the Venetian and O'Sheehan's were very satisfactory and pleasurable. We were seated right away at each of the restaurants. All of the Entertainment in the Stardust Theater was top -notch and very professionally done, especially Elements. There were plenty of other activities on board from Deal or No Deal to karaoke that were fun to do and watch. We also appreciated the emphasis on germ reduction throughout the ship with the dispensers and the signage reminders in the restrooms. Disembarking the ship was a smooth, quick process. All of the ports were enjoyable. In Cozumel we spent the day at Mr Sanchos All Inclusive Beach Resort that we booked through a shore excursion website. We had a relaxing day there. In Roatan, Honduras we took a cab around the Island. The Driver took us to West Bay Beach, Ziplining at the Mayan Jungle Canopy/ Victor Bodden's Monkey Business and to a local restaurant Gio's Seafood. We had an amazing day! In Belize, we relaxed on NCL's private island. It was beautiful, however we wished that we could have experienced the mainland. Only those having shore excursions could take the ferry to the mainland. In Costa Maya we visited the Mayan Ruins. Very interesting and educational experience. Overall, our entire vacation was so wonderful that we can't wati to cruise again!
