Is Princess Cruises losing it?

This ship was badly overcrowded, with half-hour lineups to get into the dining room, standing-room-only in the theater, and no seats available in the buffet. A light lunch in the dining room one day took 2 hours!

Some of the staff are great, helpful and enthusiastic, while others seem to be just putting in time. Many of the traditional features such as lobster dinner, midnight buffet, or towel animals in the room are long-gone now, and variety in the buffet has been reduced.

Port Reviews

San Francisco

Thoroughly enjoyed the ferry to Sausalito (ten-minute walk from the ship) and riding the funky old streetcar to Fisherman's Wharf.

Victoria

This is a beautiful, historic English-style city.

A short hop into the center takes you to the Legislature building, the fabulous Provincial museum, and a great shopping street.
