I’m starting to think we weren’t on the same ship I read all the mediocre reviews about. We had a fantastic time on the Anthem of the Seas’ twelve night sailing on April 18.

This was our first RC cruise (I did one years ago). We have sailed almost exclusively on Celebrity for the last 12 years. Any apprehension we had about trying a new line was short lived. The Anthem is a beautiful ship. We thought the size would overwhelm us but it didn’t. There were just that many more places to explore.

Embarkation was about the smoothest we’ve ever had. We walked in the door and a lady with an iPad scanned our boarding passes, took our picture and off we went. Probably the only time the ship felt crowded to me was getting on the ship that first day. People tend to stop and look around, trying to get their bearings. Once we got past that log jam, we were off to 270 for lunch and drinks.

Amazing location and storage.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

A favorite port of ours. Visited our favorite jeweler, Joe's Jewelry, had lunch and some fun in the casino.

Antigua

Great tour of the island that ended at a beautiful beach where we had a nice lunch. The water was crystal clean and the beach immaculate.

Martinique

As it was a Sunday when we visited, a lot of places were closed. Picked up a souvenir and went back and enjoyed a quiet ship.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Visited the Fairview Plantation and Botanical Garden. Had a wonderful lunch prepared by the chef.
