DH and I drove down to the Sofitel hotel at Gatwick the night before our flight where Maple Manor car parking took our car away. They were very good and we would recommend them. The hotel had a tunnel walk-way straight into departures. We had a room overlooking the atrium, just like the ship with restaurants bars etc. We got rid of our luggage after checking in then went back to the hotel for a meal.

The next morning we met the rest of our party and caught the plane to Barcelona where we stayed at the Arts Hotel for a few days. A great hotel and pool which was nice to return to after a day sightseeing.

DD could see the ship arrive from her room so after breakfast the hotel transferred us to the ship. We checked in which was very good and we were on board just after 11 am. Our cabin steward was lovely. She was always at hand if we needed her otherwise we didn't see her. She was always smiling.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Great balcony although didn't like the huge overhang but great view. Cabin was a lot smaller than other ships I have been on. I did like the bed closer to the balcony it gave us more room to get ready, it had a nice touch with a curtain to close off the bed. Situation is perfect close to the lift and stairs and on the hump with a huge triangular balcony.
