This was our second Uniworld river cruise. The Joie de Vivre is as beautiful as the pictures! Of interest to many are the beautiful fabrics used throughout the boat. Would love to go again after the new furniture is broken in. Thinking squishy, soft seating where one could curl up with a book. A favorite activity when we were on the SS Antoinette.
Highlights were the Normandy and the Monet's garden excursions. The different walking abilities, gentle walkers to very active, including bicycles, are addressed in each outing. Guides and headsets are top notch.
Onboard, service is as close to perfection as humanly possible. It was fun to run in to at least eight of the staff from our previous cruise who recognized us! We very much enjoyed our intimate dinner and cooking lesson in the Cave de Vin. Our special place was the small deck just past the pool/Claude's on the fan tail...don't tell anyone!
Small cabin with slightly noticeable engine vibration/noise. Boat is designed 10 meters more narrow to access best docking in Paris. Would have preferred to have been more to the front of the boat. Appreciated the elevator.
