We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We previously cruised on the Spirit and although the cruise was amazing, we thought the ship was a little worn out. We weren't sure if we would like a mega ship but as it turns out, the activities, restaurants and especially the entertainment was excellent. We had a mid-ship balcony room and found the rooms to be very sound proof - only hearing chairs on the deck being moved. Did not take in any of the specialty restaurants but heard they were great. For entertainment, saw Burn the Floor, Pricilla the Desert Queen, Motown, Cirque and many small entertainment throughout the ship in the evenings. Even the daytime music/band by the pool was great. We went on all 3 water slides and I even challenged the rock climbing wall. We didn't book any of the ship excursions so can't speak of that. We weren't able to dock in Malaga due to high winds which was disappointing, but safety was a priority and you can't fault Norwegian for that. On sea days you did see the chair saving game which happens pretty much everywhere. On the last 2 sea days, they started to sticker saved chairs with a time. If those chairs were used within 1 hour (not too sure on the exact time frame) security/staff picked up the towels and any personal items left - which was typically a magazine/book. We loved that idea! It's tough to watch a group of chairs sitting saved for hours when people are looking for somewhere to sit. We chose Norwegian originally for the Freestyle and pricepoint. Both of these are reasons we will cruise with Norwegian again.
