We are a family of four that cruised Norwegian Sky on Aug 14th for three nights. We flew from Philadelphia to Fort Lauderdale the day before and used a car service to go to Miami Beach. (about $85.00) Stayed overnight in the Eden Roc (beautiful hotel- recently renovated - spacious rooms - great service)

Next day took a cab (@$20.00) to the Port of Miami. Embarkation was efficient and smooth at around 11:30am. Went to the Atrium area (after the glass of champagne!) and found a nice little table with a good view. Husband needed to stay inside because of the intense heat outside! Kids (age 12 and 14) and I did a bit of exploring. The views of Miami from the ship were beautiful. The rooms were ready around 1:30pm. We had a balcony and an inside (right across from each other on deck nine. But rooms were clean and very nice. The only drawback is that the room were small (I must tell you though that the last two cruises we were on we had suites). Did muster drill (not too long or too annoying) and then went from the front of the boat to the back of the boat to watch sail away (along with a Carnival and an RCI ship sailing away with us).

We ate in Il Adagio the first night. We made reservations for 6pm but really did not have to. Food was excellent. Our kids tried some new foods and enjoyed them all (they are normally picky eaters).
