Cabin: Deluxe Veranda 1A

We were celebrating wedding anniversary. We found the ship well appointed in the common areas and the entertainment was excellent. We had a balcony cabin which was spacious, but lacked decent drawer space with no bedside cupboards only small shelves. The ship has no guest laundry and there was nowhere in the bathroom to hang any hand washing. On other cruise lines we have been provided with a pull out washing line in the bathroom. On the positive side our cabin was exceptionally clean even in those hard to reach places. We found the food in the main dinning room a bit of a hit and miss affair. Sometimes the fish was beautifully cooked, other times it was dry. The meat quality also varied. There were no deserts for diabetics only one no sugar added option per menu, which was full of cream and although no sugar was added it had other natural sugars in it. It was the same in the upstairs buffet. Breakfast in the dinning room was frustrating. Invariably my cold cereal arrived in a piping hot bowl on a piping hot plate and 3 days before the cruise ended the ship ran out of unsweetened almond milk. The alternative offered was sweetened soya milk. I feel that more consideration should be given to those who are diabetic as this condition is becoming common. There are many recipes for diabetics that feel 'naughty' when being eaten but are in fact quite healthy and tasty. All the staff on board were pleasant and there were many activities throughout the day to enjoy.

Deluxe Veranda 1A

Cabin 1A

Spacious but needs more storage space. Not enough room to put shoes in cupboard if using the 2 rail system. We had to live out of a suitcase under the bed for some our clothes which is ok for a short cruise but would not like to do that long term as there are no guest pressing services.
