Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

This is an amazing ship, as is it's sister ship the Allure of the Seas, and we chose this as it offers something for everyone. We travelled with a fair size group, over 30 individuals, from the age of 1 to 60+, and the ship offered something for everyone. Naturally there is a kids program which was made use of, several pools and plenty of deck chairs, a really nice gym and spa facility, an adult only pool area for those who wanted more quiet space, and many entertainment options.

Embarkation and disembarkation was very smooth which is amazing when you consider there are over 6000 passengers. Although the ship is huge there truly was no feeling of overcrowding.

A few things that were a bit of a disappointment was there was no sushi offered unless you were willing to pay for it in the speciality restaurant. Additionally there is a beautiful Champagne Bar however it lacks ambiance. The lighting is too bright and there was no music that would give it a better ambiance and feeling of what a high end bar should be. We were told the reason for no music was because of its location as it would conflict with the music from the Promenade deck.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D7

I have sailed on 30 cruises with 5 lines and this cabin was bar far on of the best. We had a Superior Ocean View - category D7 on the 9th deck. The balcony was spacious enough for two persons, however the interior of the cabin is where the extra room is. We were very pleased that the two beds converted a full size king bed with ample room. Additionally there was a sofa that converted to a double bed, along with a vanity, and ample closet space (and we always over pack and had no issue with space). Another nice thing that was noticeable was additional space in the bathroom as the shower was a bit larger than others.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

I'm not a fan of sailing from Port Canaveral due to it's location however it has a benefit that it's less busy than sailing out of Ft.Lauderdale or Miami. The embarkation was flawless.

Labadee

Labadee is beautiful and offers a fabulous beach day for everyone.

Falmouth

The ship docks at a very nice area that has a few shops that is accessible only to cruise guests. Having been to Jamaica many times we didn't venture beyond the port.

Cozumel

The ship docks at the International Port and it's a very inexpensive cab ride into town if you want to do some shopping along the waterfront. And there are many shore excursions to choose from and beach access right at the pier if you want close and convenient sand and water.
