This cruise had so many good things - but the start was not a good one! I'm sorry to agree with the other reviews about the Galveston port, but embarkation was a complete disaster. We stood in line for over three hours, with no communication from the cruise line. Disembarkation was just as bad, since we had a weather delay of over three hours. They seem to have no experience with crowd control or concise directions, and they were continuously trying to put 400 people into a space meant for 200.

Now - for all the good things! Our cabin was wonderful in every way! It was clean, well designed and a great value for the money! (1864 on Deck 12) Our room steward, Ivan, was attentive and informative, always cheerful and greeting us by name. The service in the dining room, the Windjammer buffet and the specialty restaurants was wonderful every day! The most outstanding meal we ate was at Sabor ... I can't say enough good things about the salsa, guacamole, main dishes and the service here! We found the food at the buffet very good - a few new things each day and most of it very tasty. The dinners in the dining room were perfectly sized portions since you are having three courses. We particularly loved the appetizers which were inventive and had a special flair!

This was our 11th cruise, so we've had experiences with different ships and their specific amenities. On the Liberty, we loved watching people try the Waverider and the climbing wall. But the highlight of this cruise was the shows! We attended the ice skating show, the show titled, "In the Air," Saturday Night Fever, and one night of the comedian. Every show was fabulous, and left me feeling I had a quick trip to Las Vegas!!! Don't miss the "In the Air" show which starts a bit slowly, but quickly grabs your full attention!

Family Panoramic Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin PF

This was our first experience in a panoramic stateroom, and we are hooked! We had the space of a suite, with an affordable price. The bed was a bit hard but the pillows were nice and fluffy. Ample closet and drawer space made it great since there were 3 of us.
