My gf and I were convinced by another couple to go with them on our first cruise. I was hesitant at first but I'm glad we went. We stayed in a interior cabin room. At first I was a bit shocked on how small the cabins really were. But I quickly got used to it and we found ourselves in there to only shower and sleep. Everyone was super friendly. From the staff working the cruise to all the people we met. My gf and I aren't very outgoing people, we usually stay to ourselves but everyone was just friendly and inviting it was hard to not make any new friends while on board. The food was great. We didn't eat too much at the buffets. We usually ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and kinda snacked during our lunch. But the buffets didn't look bad at all. Our favorite night time activities would have to be the comedy club and casino hands down. During the day when we were at sea our favorite spot was the 21 and older area located at the front of the ship. If you want a really relaxing area to get away from most of the people, this is the area to be at. As far as our stops go. The Bahamas was beautiful. In nassau we did a tour and got to see much of the area and even got to visit Atlantis. After that the taxi driver dropped us off at a public beach were we rented a umbrella and some chairs. and the best part was that the beach was walking distance back to the ship. The second stop was in Freeport. There we did an all inclusive resort. It was through a third party. The only part that worried me was that the drive was a good 20 minutes away from where the ship was docked. But the taxi driver was good about picking us up on time. She even gave us her personal number so she would come back for us. Of course we offered her a generous tip so i guessed that helped us make sure we had reliable transportation to get back to our ship on time. At the Florida keys we did a jet ski tour. This one we booked through carnival. It was a great and fun experience and would totally recommend it. We after that we didn't have much time to do much else due to the time constraint. We had to leave earlier than expected because of some weather issues. But the ship personnel were great about letting us know about all our changes. So never were we in the dark about the depart time changes. One thing I should mention and give carnival a bunch of credit for is how well they were prepared for our weather change. The original itinerary was to go to Florida first then the Bahamas. But due to a tropical storm they had to reverse it. I guess they've done things like this so many times it was a breeze for them to change our day to day actives but nonetheless I give them credit on how they were able to adapt to unpredictable weather. Now we did have to travel through the outskirts of the tropical storm and I'm not gonna lie there was some times where we could feel to boat rocking pretty hard or there was a decent size wave. Other than that night the travel of the boat was smooth. Overall for the money I think it's totally worth it. My gf and I have already booked 2 more cruises for 2017 and already looking for our next one in 2018.

A bit small but got over the size quickly. You don't spend much time in the cabin at all so it really wasn't a big deal to us.

Port Reviews

Freeport

Just make sure you have reliable transportation back to the ship and make sure they get you back there on time. What we did was got the number of our taxi driver and offered her a good tip if she personally came back for us. and she did just that.

Nassau

We booked with a tour once got off the boat. These people approach you just as soon as they're able to. It was cheap and they even dropped us off at a local public beach. We were able to walk back to the ship after we were done at the beach.
