This trip included my husband (41), and my father in law and his girlfriend as well as me (42). This was my husband and I’s 5th cruise on Carnival and FIL and GF’s 1st. Hubby and I booked this Cruise May 2016, after our cruise (Ecstasy) from the previous month missed Half Moon Cay, we decided to try again!

We decided this trip to fly into FLL, from Louisville KY. We had an early flight and arrived in FLL at 11am. Prior to the cruise I had read on the boards here about a shuttle service called SAS that would take us to our hotel in Miami. They were very good at communicating were we needed to be, the wait was not long and we were driving to Miami about 11:30. The cost was $15 per person, plus a tip! The ride took about 40 minutes; we did drop another group off at the port first.

We arrived before check in time at our Hotel YVE. They offered to keep our luggage and we decided to head across the street to Bayside market Place. We made it just in time to catch the 1:30 pirate boat Tour. This was a lot of fun! After that we headed back to the hotel to check in. Our room had a bay view window (we could see the ships) and was very nice. We did head back out a little later and went back over to Bayside and ate at a German restaurant that was pretty good! Then we headed back across the street to the CVS and picked up some last minute supplies (soda and hair spray). Couldn’t fly with the soda and accidently put the hair spray in my carry on!

Cabin 4G

The cabin was just as we expected! Kind of small but never felt crowed! plenty of room for our stuff! Always clean, we had a towel animal every night! Our stateroom attendant was great!

Half Moon Cay

Woke up to a beautiful day and finally made it! It was a little windy so our Kayaking excursion was canceled (money was refunded to our sign n sail account). This was no great loss; we had a wonderful day just hanging out on the beach! Absolutely the most beautiful beach I have ever been to was a perfect day!
