Leaving from Port Liberty was very easy and convenient as we live in New Jersey and could drive there. Parking was easy and safe, not too costly. I was very pleased with Anthem of the Seas (and Royal Caribbean), finding the ship to be well maintained and clean throughout our 12 day cruise. I did not see any plates piled up as I noted in one other review. Quite the contrary, I found an attendant removing plates from our area, by the inside pool, almost immediately when we were finished. In general, I found the ship to be very clean. Our Cabin was well maintained with excellent and non intrusive service from the cabin attendant. The entertainment on board was quite good, We enjoyed most. The only negative was one play, "The Gift". The performers were excellent, great voices. However the story line needs work. I can not give enough praise to the bartender at the sunshine bar (in the Solarium) who were very friendly and entertaining. The Solarium, itself, was relaxing and a great place to just hang out. It was for adults (16 years or older) and also had a very good restaurant. We did not take any shoe excursions, as we like to explore beaches on our own. We enjoyed all the Islands except Martinique where we found the locals to be not to friendly. I would not have any interest in going back to that island. The only negative about the ship was with the Esplanade which, at times, seemed a little like a flea market. Overall...very relaxing and fun cruise. I highly recommend this ship and this cruise line. I Give it an A+.

Port Reviews

San Juan

Walked through town and spent about 4 hours in the Fort. I like history so this was great for me

St. Maarten

I have a rich history with st maarten, I have been going there every year since 1984. I think it is a very friendly island with great shopping on the Dutch Side and great beaches on the French side. Also. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal on the island.

Martinique

We took a water taxi to a recommended beach (by local) and found it to be an OK beach but very unfriendly and down right rude service people. Would not go back to this island.

Barbados

Again, went to a beach recommended by local (cab driver) who was very friendly. Perhaps one of the nicest beaches i've been on. The cab driver would not take his far until the return trip, telling us that way we would be assured of his return at the agreed upon time. Very nice. I plan on returning to this island for a longer stay.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

went to a nice beach with a little beach bar off the beaten path. Food was great and not too expensive. This was recommended by the cab driver. Very friendly people. Another island that I will return to and spend a little more time there.
