I was a little nervous about this ship at first simply because of all of the negative reviews I've read. (Only 58 percent reviewers loved this cruise!!! Really?) My thirteen year old daughter had an optimistic attitude while I was in a more cautious mood waiting to see if the Sunshine was as terrible as so many of the unfavorable reviews promised it would be ...
Embarkation:
Admittedly not as smooth as Disney's. There were large crowds and it always wasn't clear which line you had to stand in or what area to wait. Still no major complaints. We got to step on the boat about an hour after arriving at the port. I consider that good timing.
I already wrote about this in the review. Loved the aft-balcony! Spent many relaxing hours reading a book or watching a movie and then I would get distracted by the sunset or other amazing views.
2nd visit here. Beautiful as always. I have never seen a shade of blue as lovely as the one that surrounds this island.
Didn't explore more much at this port as all the fun areas needed a cab ride to get to. A lot of agressive vendors here but nothing your average New Yorker or Chicagoan couldn't handle. Just smile, be firm and be on your way.
