Cabin: The Haven Aft-facing Penthouse with Balcony

I own a tax accounting firm, and booked this cruise as an after-tax season-cruise. I splurged and booked an aft-facing penthouse suite in The Haven, since this was a cruise heavy on sea days (3) and wanted a nice place to chill. The suite was incredible, spacious, luxurious and the balcony huge (more than enough room for two lounges a table for 4 and two additional chairs and table). Two full bathrooms, and the master was huge. One of the most comfortable beds (a REAL king size bed, not two twins pushed together) I have ever slept in. The sofa, however, was very uncomfortable, as it is primarily designed as a fold-out bed. More than enough storage. Keep in mind that this ship is HUGE and the walk from the aft cabin to the Haven Exclusive area all the way forward was a long one.

Embarkation: Easy, a special priority area for Haven members. Checked in and escorted to another holding area. We were on the ship by noon and escorted to the key-card only Haven area - which is a large lounge area, bar, private dining room and a beautiful spa-like pool area with a hot tub and lots of seating. Be warned that the acoustics are awful in the pool area, and since the Haven allows families with small children, we never used the pool area since there were always loud, unruly children playing in the Haven pool. The Haven Restaurant was also quite lovely, elegant the the food very good. However, the quiet elegance was often interrupted with screaming, loud children.

DO NOT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT WRITTEN CONFIRMATION OF THE AMENITIES INCLUDED WITH YOUR CRUISE FARE!! Included with our cruise fare was the Ultimate Beverage Package, the Ultimate Dining Package, the daily crew tips, and 250 minutes of wi-fi. When we checked in with the Haven Concierge, she said they had no record of those amenities included with our cruise fee, and asked for documentation. We heard from other Haven Passengers that they had the same problem. I had to call my NCL cruise agent to have that information emailed to the Concierge. It took THREE DAYS for my account to finally reflect those amenities.
