My sisters and I needed a cruise to relax a little, a lot is going on in their lives. I chose this cruise because it left from Southern Florida where my niece had a bachelorette weekend. The ports were nice, but the ship was small and didn't have many of the amenities of the larger ships. The room attendant didn't learn our names nor give us the robes that should have been placed in our room. I feel that the staff is less committed and friendly now that gratuities are included with your bill. Also, since the addition of the specialty restaurants, the food in the main dining room has declined. I would like to take a cruise where I don't feel like I am being nickel and dimed. I bought three nights in the "Choppes Grill", but the steak was included, but to add lobster, there was an additional $21 charge. And what are they thinking with the "Chef's table"?? Over $100 a night??? Wow. Let's go back to at least everything being included in the specialty restaurants and gratuities not being included. Gratuities should be based on merit. We will be sailing on larger ships in the future.

Junior Suite with Balcony

Cabin JS

The Junior Suite on this smaller ship is not the same as the larger ships. We could constantly hear the woman coughing in the next room; she must have been chronically ill. The room attendant never learned our names and didn't bring us the robes that are supposed to be provided between the fact that I am an Emerald member and we had a Junior Suite.
